Who you are buying from

The Hoard is a series of the house Specie, sold by PaintedApp, LLC, 1327 SE Tacoma St #394, Portland, OR 97202. Write to support@painted.app about anything on this page.

What you are buying

Each piece is a giclée print on canvas, made to order by our print partner Prodigi from a digital master of the painting, gallery-wrapped on a 38 mm stretcher. A paper proof is a giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag cotton paper. Nothing is hand-finished, signed or gilded. The paintings were made for this series with an image model working from our written brief, and every one was judged and chosen by eye.

The edition

Each of the fourteen paintings is an edition of 25, counted across every canvas size together. A number is assigned when the payment lands, in the order the payments arrived, and carried on your receipt and on the order to the lab. When twenty-five numbers are sold or retired, the checkout refuses that painting. A returned or refunded number is retired and never sold again, so an edition can close at fewer than twenty-five. The paper proof is an open edition and carries no number.

The commission

A commission is Interest with your monogram and year struck into the coin Magnus holds. It is numbered outside the twenty-five, as C1, C2 and onward, so the edition stays twenty-five. A monogram is one to three letters A to Z, with an optional ampersand; a year is from 1800 to the current year. We refuse a monogram that spells a word we would not print, and refund it in full if we do.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include delivery to the countries the checkout offers. Stripe takes the payment; we never see your card. Import duties and local taxes outside the United States are charged by the carrier on delivery where they apply, and they are yours to pay.

Delivery

Every canvas is made after you pay, then shipped tracked. Production and delivery usually take two to three weeks, and we send the tracking when the canvas leaves the lab. Risk passes to you on delivery.

The last copy

If two payments for the twenty-fifth copy arrive within the same minute, the second is refunded in full within two working days and nothing is printed for it. See Refunds and Returns for every other return.

The pictures

The paintings, the character Magnus Pye and the coin design belong to PaintedApp, LLC. Buying a canvas gives you the canvas, not the right to reproduce the picture. You may photograph it on your wall and post the photograph.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Oregon, United States. If you buy as a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
